Oak Lodge is a friendly, inclusive, caring and diverse community.  Our staff are talented and conscientious but also very proud of our school and our children.  We value every child as an individual and we have the highest aspirations for everyone.  We provide the children with a rich range of learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom, including our onsite Forest School provision. We know that children learn best when they engage in fun, memorable learning experiences which is what we offer.

At Oak Lodge we believe education is a partnership between home and school and we want to build a long and rewarding relationship with you, in order that your child is happy and achieves their best.  From the start, we develop strong bonds between home and school, beginning with home visits and pre-school visits when children join us in reception. When conditions allow, we hold regular open evenings, class assemblies and parent focus groups covering a wide range of topics. Staff, including senior leaders, make themselves available to welcome children and parents/carers on the playground each day.

As part of Compass Academy Trust, Oak Lodge Primary School benefits from working closely within a family of four local primary schools and has the opportunity to collaborate and share good practice whilst still retaining our individual identity and ethos.
